Simple Acai Smoothie Bowl

Acai is full of vitamin C, antioxidants, fiber, & is low in sugar!


Ingredients

Serves 1

  • 2 bananas, frozen
  • 1/2-1 tsp acai powder
  • 1/2 C berries (mixed, blueberries, strawberries or raspberries)
  • Dash of coconut or almond milk (up to 1/4 C)
  • Dash of maple syrup (optional)
  • For a spicy bowl - add the tiniest dash of cayenne!

Toppings:

  • toasted buckwheat
  • fresh berries
  • coconut

Directions

  1. Add liquid first to bottom of food processor or blender.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Pulse & process until smooth (you may have to stir around a few times) & adjust liquid as needed.

This bowl is absolutely perfect when you want a sweet snack, or pre-workout meal. It's healthy, and choc full of antioxidant-rich berries, vitamin C, and natural sugars to give you a little energy boost!

All you need is some frozen bananas, berries, and toppings of choice. I recommend a powerful blender like a Nutribullet or food processor so you don't have to add too much liquid to churn up the fruit.
